Medical Secretary

Jefferson Surgical Clinic has an immediate opening for a Medical Secretary with experience using EPIC, coordinating office and hospital appointments and managing referrals and prior authorizations for one surgeon.  Qualified applicant will demonstrate a professional demeanor, telephone and email etiquette and a strong desire to learn.  Full time, Monday – Friday 8:30 – 4:30.  Excellent compensation and benefits.

Nurse Practitioner

Jefferson Surgical is seeking a part-time Nurse Practitioner to work with an established otolaryngologist (ENT) in a multispecialty private practice. The office has a Monday – Friday 8am-5pm schedule with the option for flexibility, no call, and holidays off.

The position will have the opportunity to practice independently under the supervision of one physician. The practice includes an allergy clinic, otolaryngology, audiology, and in-house Balloon Sinuplasty. Located in Virginia Blue Ridge Mountains, Roanoke offers arts, music, and outdoor activities for everyone.

Medical Office Assistant

(32 hours per week)

Jefferson Surgical Clinic, a multi-specialty medical practice, has an opening for a Medical Office Assistant.  The ideal candidate will perform a variety of clinical and non-clinical duties.  Clinical tasks include rooming patients, taking vitals and data entry.  Non-clinical tasks include managing patient phone calls and assisting with the scheduling of appointments, tests and surgeries.  Qualified candidate should have one year relevant experience in a medical office environment along with a proficiency in the use of EHR.  Medical Office Assistant certification is preferred.
