Physician Assistant Joins Jefferson Surgical Clinic’s Vascular Surgery Clinic

Savannah WillsRoanoke, VA – June 2018. Jefferson Surgical Clinic (JSC) announces the addition of Savannah Wills, PA-C, MS to their talented team of providers. She began working alongside Dr. Thomas Conlee in the Vascular Surgery Clinic in March. Wills specializes in various procedures designed to manage peripheral arterial disease, carotid stenosis, and venous insufficiency as well as varicose vein treatment. She also has experience in vascular, thyroid, and parathyroid surgeries.

“Savannah has quickly found her way with both the staff and the patients at Jefferson Surgical Clinic,” said Beth Bankston, Chief Administrative Officer at JSC. “Our team really appreciates her work ethic and attention to detail, and her bedside manner has already made her a favorite among our patients. We’re glad to have her on board.”

Wills earned her designation as a physician assistant in 2017 after completing her master’s degree at Jefferson College of Health Sciences where she graduated Summa Cum Laude, and was the 2016-2017 recipient of the Clinical Excellence Award. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from George Mason University. Between earning her degrees, Wills worked as a CNA on the Vascular Progressive Care Unit at Carilion Clinic. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, Virginia Academy of Physician Assistants, and the Society for Vascular Surgery. Last year, she was part of the team awarded third place in the AAPA National Challenge Bowl in Las Vegas, Nevada, beating out more than 80 other participating groups from across the United States.

“Serving my community as a physician’s assistant is what I’ve been working towards since I decided to become a practitioner,” said Wills. “I’m thoroughly enjoying putting my education and experience to work at JSC and helping patients that live in the Roanoke Valley.”

Wills joins five surgeons and two practitioners on staff at Jefferson Surgical’s Vascular Clinic. JSC’s vascular team cares for patients at their 1229 3rd Street location in Roanoke, and performs procedures at both hospitals.
