| James T. Callis, M.D., FACS, is a board-certified vascular and general surgeon who joined Jefferson Surgical Clinic in 1990. He is a 1983 graduate of the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, where he also completed his general surgery training in 1989. Dr. Callis completed a vascular surgery fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in 1990. He holds a certification from the American Board of Surgery in general and vascular surgery. Currently, Dr. Callis resides in Roanoke with his wife, Joanne, and their two children. In his spare time, he’s a pilot, flying both airplanes and sailplanes. He also enjoys fly-fishing.
