James G. Drougas, M.D., FACS, is a board-certified vascular surgeon who joined Jefferson Surgical Clinic in 1997. A native of Wilmington, Delaware, Dr. Drougas received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Case Western Reserve University, where he majored in chemistry and history. He received his general surgery training at the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, where he was awarded the Harwell Wilson Award for Outstanding Chief Resident in 1996. He completed a fellowship in vascular surgery at the Emory University School of Medicine in 1997. Dr. Drougas is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Services / Specialties / Interests:

When he’s not in the office, Dr. Drougas enjoys cooking, traveling, and participating in competitive tennis tournaments. His favorite aspect of his profession is the challenge of trying to fix complicated issues, and the satisfaction that comes from helping his patients.
