Rodney J. Poffenberger, M.D., FACS, is a board-certified urologist who joined Jefferson Surgical Clinic in 2000 and has practiced in the Roanoke Valley since 1991. A Michigan native, Dr. Poffenberger received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Kalamazoo College in Kalamazoo, Michigan, in 1982. He is a 1986 graduate of the University Of Michigan School Of Medicine. He completed graduate training in both general surgery and urology at Henry Ford Hospital in 1991.

Dr. Poffenberger is an American College of Surgeons Fellow, an American Board of Urology Diplomate, and a National Board of Medical Examiners diplomate.
